About

Hi I'm Rob! I'm a Web Developer who grew up in Southern Maine, and recently moved back from Denver, CO after spending 12 years out there.

My career originally started at a small tech startup in Portland, ME. Eventually I made the move to Colorado and became an employee of The Denver Post and their parent company: Media News Group (Digital First Media). I've also fulfilled some short-term contract work, and most recently was employed by an agency in the RiNo district who had some rather large clients like Reuters International News and IntegraMed.

Whether it’s jumping into a brand new project or supporting anything legacy, I will adapt and ask the necessary questions so I can hit the ground running. I enjoy having a variety of tasks to conquer throughout a sprint. If you are seeking someone who can who can work within every layer of the stack, perform dev-op duties, QA, and interface with stakeholders when necessary; I'm probably the dev you should get on the phone.

When I’m not staring at glowing screens, I can often be found pursuing my hobbies which include snowboarding, biking, inflatable Kayaking, and sometimes golfing.

Skills

I'm always open to the idea of adopting a new framework, library, or complete stack solution depending on the requirements of a project. My intent has always been to develop and deliver projects that can stand the test of time, and reduce any pain points for future developers who may inherit them. I'm currently exploring the possiblities of Vue.Js, Laravel, and the NativeScript framework.
